Popular freight guides
New to the workflow? Start with how to write a transport request, loading meters explained, or pallet dimensions and parcel fit.
What does Jaly actually do?
It turns a vague freight request into a carrier-ready brief: a guided builder collects goods, pickup/delivery, and constraints, quality checks flag what carriers need before they can quote, and you export a clean PDF or text brief that you send to carriers yourself. Jaly is not a broker — nothing is sent anywhere without you.
What is a transport, and why does the PDF have several pages?
A request can hold one or more transports — each one is a single A → B move with its own goods, time windows, and constraints. The exported PDF has exactly one page per transport, so each move is a self-contained brief.
What do the red, yellow, and blue items mean?
Red items block export — a carrier genuinely cannot quote without them (goods, addresses, a pickup window). Yellow items are recommended: missing them invites back-and-forth. Blue tips are informational, like a pallet too tall for standard trailers. Click any item to jump straight to the field that fixes it.
How do time windows work?
Pick a date (with quick chips for today/tomorrow) and one or more time slots — two slots like 08:00–12:00 and 14:00–17:00 express a lunch-break pause. Delivery windows are optional; leaving them empty means flexible. Weekend and public-holiday dates get a heads-up automatically.
What does the truck silhouette mean?
It shows the smallest standard vehicle your load fits in — box van, 19t rigid, or semi-trailer — based on floor space (loading metres), payload, and cargo height, with your load drawn inside to scale. It is an estimate to set expectations, not a booking.
What does the calculator do?
The calculator gives quick LDM/volume/weight totals without creating a request, and answers pallet-fit questions: how many parcels fit per Euro or industrial pallet under a height cap, and how many pallets your quantity needs. Results can be copied as a link or sent straight into the builder.
How many PDF exports do I get?
The free plan includes 5 PDF exports per month (copy-as-text is unlimited). Plus raises the limit to 40 PDF exports per month — see pricing.
Where is my work saved?
While you build, everything autosaves in your browser — refreshing or signing in mid-request loses nothing. Signed in, you can save requests to your account, reopen them, duplicate them into a new brief, re-download exported PDFs, or delete them from the account page.
Is my data shared with carriers or anyone else?
No. Briefs only go where you send them. See the privacy policy for the full picture — including that contact details you enter stay in your account and that analytics are cookieless unless you opt in.
